Therapy for Men in Bethesda, MD

Sometimes it’s just easier to talk to another guy.

How I Approach Therapy with Men

Every guy’s story is different, but a lot of us grew up with the same unwritten rules — don’t complain, don’t need too much, figure it out on your own, don’t talk about your feelings, etc. I didn’t invent a workaround to those rules. I lived inside them too, which is part of why therapy with me doesn’t feel like the kind you’ve probably pictured. That shared understanding of “the language of men” helps me see things through your eyes — and figure out, together, if there’s a smarter way through this than the one you’ve been using.

Men often reach out for therapy when…

Your relationship is on the rocks.

Whatever got you here, something between you and your partner needs attention, and you’re not sure how to fix it on your own.

Work has stopped feeling like it matters.

You show up, you do the job, but the meaning behind it has quietly disappeared.

Anger keeps winning.

Short fuse, quick temper, or a slow burn that never fully goes away — it’s costing you more than you’d like to admit.

Something’s off, and you can’t name it.

No single crisis, just a nagging sense that things aren’t right.

Someone else noticed before you did.

A partner, a friend, or family member said something about needing therapy — and it stuck with you more than you expected.

Whatever brought you here, therapy for men starts with a conversation — in person at my Bethesda office,
or virtually wherever you are.

How I Work

Warm but direct

I’ll be honest with you even when it’s uncomfortable.

Insight meets action

We dig deep enough to understand, then we do something about it.

Laughter is allowed

A bit of lightness at the right moment can make it easier to say or do the hard thing.
